Internationale conferentie 2016 over "The transmission mechanism of new and traditional instruments of monetary and macroprudential policy"

De financiële crisis en de daarop volgende economische crisis heeft nieuwe uitdagingen voor het monetaire beleid doen rijzen en heeft de noodzaak van een macroprudentieel beleid aangetoond. Daarenboven zijn in de huidige omgeving van lage inflatie en nulrentebeleid de limieten van de conventionele monetaire beleidsinstrumenten bereikt. In de huidige economische context moeten dan ook zowel voor het monetaire als voor het macroprudentiële beleid nieuwe instrumenten worden ingevoerd. De transmissiekanalen en de doeltreffendheid van die nieuwe instrumenten zijn nog niet zeer uitgebreid onderzocht. Op deze conferentie werden in dat opzicht een aantal nieuwe onderzoeksresultaten voorgesteld.
