Martine heads the Financial Statistics division in the Statistics Department at the National Bank of Belgium. This division is responsible for compiling monetary and banking statistics as well as data on securities and financial markets, the national financial accounts, the balance of payments and the international investment position. Recently, it was entrusted with gathering statistics on climate-related indicators as well. Martine is a member of the Eurosystem Statistics Committee and vice-chair of the European Committee of Central Balance Sheet Data Offices.
