In the context of the High Earners reporting, the circular [Circulaire_NBB_2022_29_EN.docx] requires institutions concerned to indicate in due time – before the submission date of the report – via the NBB Supervision portal whether they have High Earners as defined in the EBA guidelines so that the report can be opened in OneGate. Please find the necessary instructions to do so here.

In the context of the 2025 strategy of the National Bank of Belgium (Strategy 2025 | nbb.be), good and efficient ‘Enterprise Data Management (EDM)’ is one of the 12 key ambitions. The first phase has recently been finalised and consisted, among other things, of the setting up of transversal units for data collection and data validation within the Microdata management department. Gradually over the last two years, more and more datasets and resources have been transferred to these new units.

For the supervisory and resolution reporting by banks and stockbroking firms, this brings along some practical and organisational implications. The first line support for reporting issues will be fully handled by the Microdata management department.

As a consequence, in case you have any question or issue regarding overruling of validation rules, reopenings or remarks with regard to the OneGate collection tool (domains MBS, MUN, NRA, REV) and/or the direct dissemination to the ECB, EBA or other European Authorities, please contact as from now the generic mailbox [email protected].

OneGate has been adjusted to comply with the requirements laid down by the European Banking Authority in its filing rules (version 5.2). This is done in two phases:

• Filing rule 1.6 implies that a filing indicator is required for each template in the taxonomy, regardless of the presence of the template in OneGate control panel. This has already been implemented in the Onegate test environment.

• Filing rule 3.6 will be implemented in the OneGate test environment by the end of November. This implies that the CON/IND information disappears from the taxonomy (and the OneGate report) and is added as an extension to the identifier.

The reporting protocol was modified to reflect this. Both changes will be implemented in the production environment of OneGate around the end of the year.
