In order to attract sufficiently diverse candidates for positions on the statutory governing body, institutions should implement a diversity policy for their staff that includes career planning aspects and measures to ensure equal treatment and opportunities for employees of all genders. In particular, these measures should ensure that the issue of appropriate gender representation is also taken into account when selecting staff for management positions or providing management training.
