Florian Christiaens joined the National Bank of Belgium in 2022 after obtaining a master’s degree in business economics from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. He specialises in the policy issues associated with new forms of currency (the digital euro and crypto-assets) and represents the Bank in various working groups on the digital euro, involving the Eurosystem, the European Commission and the Council of the European Union.
