Since 1954, the National Bank has conducted a monthly survey using a panel of approximately 3,000 business leaders in order to gauge their views of the economic situation. The results – for both the general indicators and per sector of activity - are published around the twenty-first day of each month.
In order to measure consumer confidence, the National Bank surveys monthly a sample of 1,850 households. The results are published around the nineteenth of each month. The survey, which is harmonised at European level, supplies information on consumers’ assessment of the state of the economy in general and their own situation.
