Scheme A (domain SFI)

By virtue of the law of 25th April 2014 relating to credit institutions and brokerage firms, and of the various circulars of the National Bank of Belgium, credit institutions are obliged to send information to the National Bank relating to the financial situation on a monthly basis. This set of information, “Scheme A”, is collected and checked by the National Bank.

Contains essential basic information for quality reporting by credit institutions, including the exchange rates to be used in the monthly reporting, an interactive search facility for the sectoral allocation of Belgian counterparts, and a complete list of MFI’s and general guidelines for the sectoral classification of counterparts in other EU member states.

Validation rules

The reporting is subject to quality controls. The declaration must be checked by the reporting institutions prior to transmission to the National Bank for a series of validation rules that are exhaustively listed here.
