How to apply

Applications can be submitted using the form below.

Applications will be assessed at the following dates: 1 March, 1 May and 1 October. Following examination by the MiRDH selection committee, a decision will be communicated within one month from the submission deadline.

If a project is accepted, the researcher must sign a research and confidentiality agreement with the National Bank of Belgium.

Please note that accepted projects will be posted on the MiRDH website and notified to external data providers where relevant, mentioning the title of the project, the authors’ names and affiliation, together with the list of datasets used.

Accepted projects will be subject to certain fees covering, amongst other items, IT costs such as data storage and maintenance.

Project description

Please provide a description of the research project by attaching a file entitled “Project Description”.

MiRDH data request

To access available MiRDH datasets aside from the harmonised core dataset, please submit a data request in the following form and attach a file entitled “Data Request”:

External data request

If applicable, please provide:

  • a description of external microeconomic data provided by the researcher to be matched, including the source and identification key;
  • a request for external microeconomic data to be obtained, possibly with MiRDH support.

Note that an agreement between the researcher and the external data holder must be provided before the data utilisation phase.
