Central Credit Registers
The National Bank collects information on loans, bank accounts and financial contracts.
- The Individual Credit Register (ICR) helps lenders prevent consumer overindebtedness.
- The Corporate Credit Register (CCR) can be used by banks and market authorities to measure business indebtedness.
- The Central Point of Contact (CPC) provides information that facilitates the work of notaries and parties involved in financial investigations.

Declaration of foreign accounts to the Central Point of Contact
All Belgian residents holding foreign accounts must declare them to the Central Point of Contact (CPC) for accounts and financial contracts.
Following the entry into force of the Act of 31 July 2023, the detailed monthly figures for May 2024 for the Individual Credit Register (ICR) will be published later than usual (in the week of 15 July 2024).
As this change will result in a break in the time series for the statistics available through April 2024 and those produced from May 2024 onwards, the monthly figures in pdf format will be temporarily unavailable.
