Consultation of data

The data contained in the Central Individual Credit Register (CICR) may be consulted by borrowers, individuals and persons authorised to receive this information.

Consumers have the right to consult free of charge the data pertaining to them in the CICR. 

Lenders are required by law to consult the Central Individual Credit Register (CICR) before extending credit or granting a loan.

Authorised persons such as debt negotiators, lawyers and trustees can consult the CICR under certain circumstances
