After graduating from the Louvain School of Management in 2012, Vincent Lanthier worked at a financial audit and consultancy firm and subsequently an investment bank, both in Luxembourg, before moving to Brussels. In 2021, he joined the National Bank of Belgium, where he is further developing his expertise in the area of financial market infrastructures. He closely follows changes in payment systems and contributes to developments in this field within the Eurosystem, Belgian and European political institutions, and international fora. The digital euro is by far the most ambitious project he has worked on to date.
