Thomas Stoerk is a climate economist in the NBB’s Economics and Research Department, in which capacity he advises Governor Pierre Wunsch on climate-related matters. Thomas is co-chair of the NBB’s Climate Hub, an internal network that brings together colleagues from different departments working on climate risk and sustainable finance to exchange information and coordinate activities.
Prior to joining the NBB, Thomas worked on climate policy in the Directorate-General for Climate Action at the European Commission. He has conducted climate economics research for over a decade with organisations such as the London School of Economics and Political Science and the New York-based Environmental Defense Fund. Thomas holds a PhD in economics from Pompeu Fabra University.
