Economist Hélène Zimmer joined the National Bank’s Economics and Research Department in 2004. She first focused on questions related to the global economy and subsequently studied labour market issues for many years, in particular in the context of the Belgian High Council for Employment. She then specialised in inflation in Belgium and the euro area. Hélène is currently a member of the NBB’s Monetary Policy Unit, in which capacity she helps prepare analyses for the monetary policy decisions taken by the euro area central bank governors.
