Passionate about economics from an early age, Céline Piton earned a master's degree in business economics from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in 2012. She obtained a second – “research track” - master’s in 2014, with the aim of completing a doctoral degree. She obtained her PhD, with a thesis entitled “The labour market performance of vulnerable groups: towards a better understanding of the main driving forces”, in 2022. Celine joined the Economics & Research Department of the National Bank of Belgium in 2015. A specialist in labour market issues, she is particularly interested in studying and improving the position of groups that are less represented on the labour market, such as women and immigrants.
