At its meeting on Wednesday 25 January 2017, the Council of Regency appointed Director Tim Hermans as statutory Secretary of the National Bank of Belgium with effect from 1 February 2017.

Mr Hermans is taking over this office from Mr Luc Dufresne, who is retiring on 31 January 2017. In recognition of the outstanding service he has given the Bank, Mr Dufresne has been conferred the title of Honorary Secretary by the Council of Regency.
