On 1 April 2012, supervision of compliance with the public order rules (market abuse, insider trading and rules of conduct) as well as with the reporting rules regarding transactions in linear bonds, strips and treasury certificates has been transferred from the Securities Regulation Fund to the Financial Services and Markets Authority, by virtue of the Royal Decree of 19 March 2012 changing the Royal Decree of 20 December 2007 on linear bonds, strips and treasury certificates and some other Royal Decrees relating to the Securities Regulation Fund.

The regulated off-exchange market in linear bonds, strips and treasury certificates has been abolished on 1 April 2012, by the same Royal Decree of 19 March 2012.
