• Exchange of Belgian banknotes
  The National Bank exchanges free of charge all Belgian banknotes issued after 1944 at the Bank’s counters in Brussels or at its regional branches.
   
• Exchange of euro banknotes and coins
  You are welcome at the counters of the National Bank in Brussels and at the branches of Antwerp, Hasselt, Kortrijk, Liège and Mons for the exchange of your euro banknotes and coins.
   
• Securities and coupons
  The National Bank issues State notes and deals with all payable public debt coupons and securities on the due date. You can also come to us for the financial service on National Bank shares.  
   
• Museum and educational offer
  The National Bank’s museum offers a dynamic and interactive presentation of the history of money.
   
• Library
  The National Bank’s library is one of the most important economic libraries in Belgium. The reading room of the library is open to the public.
   
• Central Balance Sheet Office
  The Central Balance Sheet Office collects and publishes the annual accounts of Belgian businesses. You can consult the annual accounts online for free.
   
• Positive central credit office
  The Central Office for Credits to Individuals registers all consumer loans and mortgage loans. It is intended to protect consumers from incurring excessive debts.

The National Bank issues monthly press releases succinctly presenting the results of household surveys.
