It was back in 1972 that the National Bank began its support for Belgian artists by buying some of their works of art. The art collection that has been built up since then now features almost 1800 items. In this way, the National Bank clearly displays its support for the artistic creation of our country while giving its staff a unique and stimulating working environment.

The collection is member of the International Association of Corporate Collections of Contemporary Art (IACCCA).

Historical background
Since 1972, the National Bank has taken on a role of patron of Belgian contemporary artists.
The collection
The collection reflects all the main artistic trends from the second half of the 20th century and the 21st century.
Management
The National Bank's collection consists exclusively of works of art by Belgian contemporary artists, or from artists living in Belgium. The Bank regularly rents out items from its collection to museums, organisers of exhibitions and to both national and international cultural organisations.
