Issue of State notes
As State Cashier, the National Bank is responsible for issuing State notes.

For more information about the new issue of state notes: please choose the French or Dutch version.

You can subscribe to these securities at the National Bank's counters in Brussels, Antwerp, Hasselt, Kortrijk, Liège and Mons. There are two ways of doing this:

  • by fax: fax the subscription form to +32 2 221 31 96 (when subscribing for the first time, attach a copy of both sides of your identity card)

  • by e-mail: send the subscription form to securities@nbb.be (when subscribing for the first time, attach a copy of both sides of your identity card)

The State Notes only exist dematerialized, and can be registered in the Debt Ledger free of charge.

Payment:

  • cash
  • with a bank card
  • by transfer to one of the following accounts, mentioning "State note subscription, ISIN code ..."
    • Brussels headquarters: 100-0048000-19
    • Antwerpen branch: 100-0094002-43
    • Liège branch: 100-0094502-58
    • Mons agency: 100-0098702-87
    • Hasselt agency: 100-0096602-24
    • Kortrijk agency: 100-0096899-30

NB: The payment must reach the National Bank by no later than 15.30 hrs on the final day of the subscription period, otherwise the subscription is invalid.

It is also possible to deposit physical State notes that reach maturity at the date of subscription, as payment.
