The Financial Stability Committee (FSC) examines all questions of mutual interest to the NBB and the CBFA such as maintaining the stability of the Belgian financial system, interactions between prudential supervision and control of systemic risks facing market infrastructures or the coordination of the response of the Belgian financial authorities to crisis situations (financial or operational) of a systemic nature.
The Financial Services Authority Supervisory Board (FSASB) arranges dialogue and consultation between the CBFA and the NBB. It is authorised to issue, at the request of the ministers concerned or on its own initiative, opinions on all of the questions relating to the way in which financial institutions and financial markets operate and are organised.
